Capsicum Pro Audio & Visual Press Releases
During a Brother Ali show in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, a man walked on the stage and took the microphone to beat box. In a surprising twist that surprised many, including The Brother himself, that man turned out to be Justin Timberlake. It appears Timberlake was in Wyoming to watch the Ali show and felt the need to be a part of it.
Ali, unaware of who the guest was at first, took the microphone away from Timberlake and led him back to the crowd.

"Last night in Jackson Hole WY was fun. This dude jumped on stage and started beatboxing. Me being me, I snatched the mic from him and he got off stage. At the end of the song, [DJ BK-One] tells me that was Justin Timberlake," Ali told fans through his Twitter page.
This surprised Ali enough to get Timberlake back on the stage for an impromptu freestyle session with the former Nsync singer doing the beatboxing.
"I ran and grabbed him and he beatboxed while I freestyled for about 15 minutes. Sorry JT. Thanks for rockin with us."

Capsicum Pro Audio participates in Audio Engineering Society’s Convention Panel
Jackson-based company Capsicum Pro Audio & Visual has been honored with an invitation to speak on a panel about greener industry practices at the 129th Audio Engineering Society’s Convention in San Francisco on November 4-7, 2010. In a seminar titled, “The Greening of Live Audio for Medium and Small Operators,” Capsicum owner and Jackson resident Noah Waldron will share his experiences on developing greener business practices. With only 5 years since it’s creation, Capsicum has a rapidly growing presence throughout the western states and is making its mark among sound engineers with its high-quality productions.
Capsicum is known for its cutting edge equipment, utilizing technology that offers better sound and has environmentally friendly benefits. Capsicum owner Noah Waldron will discuss ideas from how adopting interactive practices can promote a local economy and contribute less waste to how making more informed equipment choices can result in energy efficiency and fuel savings. From his own business to the larger sound engineering community, Waldron says we need to lessen our carbon footprint. He believes that the live sound industry needs to take a critical look at its conventional techniques and seize new opportunities for greener business practices.
“At Capsicum Pro Audio,” says Waldron, “we’re striving to have as small of an impact on our environment as possible while providing the best concert experience possible.”

The Venue SC48 boasts 48 microphone inputs and 16 outputs, and the smallest footprint of any console in its class. With a width of 38.95 inches and a depth of 28.15 the Venue SC48 will allow Capsicum to bring big console performance where there are space restrictions.
With the addition of the Venue SC48, the need for numerous racks of outboard processing is eliminated, due to its powerful on board effects processing, freeing up valuable space at special events.
Capsicum Pro Audio has integrated the use of Apples IPad to control the console over a wireless network.
This has allowed us to place the console out of the way of valued sight lines for corporate events, weddings, or any other type of event where a front of house position is not ideal. We can now take a seat with anyone in the audience and still have control of the mix.
For guest engineers, the Venue SC48 has one of the fastest learning curves of any digital mixing console. The staff at Capsicum Pro Audio has found that most any engineer can be up and running, within a few minutes, and ready to mix a show. Not to mention that many engineers are already familiar with the Venue line of consoles, a guest engineer who has already worked on the Venue SC48 can load up their show settings from prior shows, and have the console custom configured for their needs within seconds.
The Digidesign Venue SC48 is truly one of the most versatile tools in our industry and will allow Capsicum Pro Audio to provide services that we have not been able to provide until now.
If you are interested in any of the services that Capsicum Pro Audio provides, please feel free to contact us and we'll help you out which ever way we can.
The Spud (in Driggs, Idaho) is most notorious as one of the last standing digital drive-in theaters in the country, is now becoming one of the area’s best concert venues. Beginning with last summer’s Dark Star Orchestra concert, which drew a crowd of 1,500, The Spud proved itself as an amazing outdoor concert venue.
Taking it to a new level this summer, promoter Poppa Presents has booked three major shows at The Spud this summer. Kicking off the season will be Widespread Panic on 4th of July. After a three year hiatus from playing in the area, this much anticipated show will set the tone for more exciting events to come.

"It's just a beautiful place," said Gagliardi. "The band can look out to the Tetons while the crowd is seeing the sun go down behind the stage."
There will be 4,000 tickets available and Gagliardi said his team is expecting the show to sell out. Panic has already sold out their three-night stint they are playing at Red Rocks in late June. The band has a strong fan base in Jackson as well as around the country. That, combined with a holiday weekend in the Tetons, will likely make the concert a popular one.
On site camping will be available for those who have purchased a concert ticket. Zednik said The Spud has leased the field adjacent to the theater for the season to accommodate parking and camping.
There won't be cars or tailgating inside the venue like there was at the Dark Star show last summer. Tickets can be purchased online at supddrivein.com or at poppapresents.com. They can also be purchased in advance at the Spud Drive In and Big Hole Music in Driggs, the Knotty Pine in Victor, as well as at Tobacco Row and the Pink Garter in Jackson.
