Tech Tip: Get the rumble off the stage!
Amps with low frequency often spread their lows to the stage as well. This can be an issue as those low frequencies crawl up mic stands, into your microphones, then out of your speakers. This can muddy up your mix and make it sound blah.
The Fix:
Isolate the bass cabinet, keyboard amp, or anything with lots of lows from the stage. This can be done with neoprene pads placed under the trouble cabinets. Or you can purchase a product like Auralex's "Great Gamma"
